Maynooth University is located in the heart of Ireland's only university town. We are 25km from the centre of Dublin in North Kildare (see map below).
Registration will take place in the TSI building so if you take a taxi or when arriving from the train station, please make your way to the North Campus.
There is no direct public transport route from Dublin Airport. The easiest ways to get from Dublin Airport to Maynooth are:
- By taxi. This will cost around €60-€70 on average.
- Take a taxi at the airport. There are many waiting outside.
- You might also book a taxi from Maynooth in advance.
- Taxy Services can be booked online.
- Seamus Murray Cabs can be contacted via phone (00353/87 2684399) or email: (Murraycabs97@gmail.com)
- By bus and train. This will be less expensive but will take longer (unless there's heavy traffic on the motorway, which is not unusual).
- First take the no. 41 bus or the Aircoach from the airport to Drumcondra Rd Lower.
- Then walk 2 minutes to Drumcondra train station, where there are regular trains to Maynooth. These take approximately 40 minutes and are very straightforward. Tickets can be purchased at the train station.
- From Maynooth train station, cross the small bridge across the Royal Canal and make your way to the TSI building or your accommodation.
