TSI BUILDING
The TSI Building, on North Campus, will be the main venue for this year's conference.
The TSI Building is a modern, two-storey block with wide, level access, and lifts to the upper floors.
This is where the conference registration, the majority of panel sessions, and all plenary sessions will take place.
The publishers desks can also be found in the TSI building, just along from the conference registration desk.
Maynooth Campus Accommodation
Accommodation on the North campus is a 5-10 minute level walk from the TSI Building.
There is disabled parking around the North Campus accommodation building. To park, you would need to display a Disabled Person’s Parking Card (‘Blue Badge’) or the equivalent. There is level access to the reception area. Other parking is nearby (see HERE). Lift access is available within the building itself.
On the North Campus site, there are two types of apartments. The Orchard Apartments are suitable for people who have limited ambulation but are not wheelchair users. The apartments consist of five single, lockable, ensuite rooms along a corridor with a shared kitchen and dining area suitable for self-catering. Each room has a small ensuite shower/toilet where the shower is curtained off and level with the floor. During your stay, you may be sharing the kitchen and dining area with up to 4 people who will also be our conference delegates.
River Apartments are suitable for wheelchair users and are in the same block.
St Patrick's College Campus
On the South Campus there is additional accommodation, some with lift access. The buildings are older and have a doorstep at the entrance.
Ensuite rooms have a shower tray which is a few centimetres in height that needs to be stepped into.
Daily lunches will be in the Pugin Hall on the South Campus. This has level access and is on the ground floor.
To get to the TSI Building from the South Campus requires a 5–10-minute walk on the campus with a very quiet road to cross. Just before you get to the road, there is a set of steps up, in parallel with an easy ramp.
South Campus is level with wide tarmac paths. It is immediately adjacent to Maynooth's town centre. Parking on South Campus is available, including disabled parking, but may be less convenient to the accommodation compared to North Campus.
All campus parking is free of charge outside of term time.
NOTE: Unfortunately, some of the places of interest on the university campus are old buildings with limited access.
This is especially the case on the South Campus, and include sites such as the Russell Library where access to the reading room is via four short flights of stairs and wheelchair access is currently unavailable.
